The Veterans Legal Clinic takes walk-ins on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., on a first-come, first-served basis. Services are provided at Building 218, ground floor, Room 5A.

The clinic provides assistance with Veterans’ benefits, infractions in traffic court, criminal record clearing and 290 removals, and assistance for tenants in disputes with their landlord.

While the legal clinic does not represent clients in eviction court proceedings, they will assist tenants in various types of issues with landlords, such as reasonable accommodation requests, resolving nuisance notices pre-eviction, addressing concerns with the conditions of a unit, and more. Veterans are encouraged to reach out to the VLC for clarity on what the clinic offers. Additionally, the VLC has a wide network of contacts with other legal assistance agencies and practices to which they may refer Veterans.

For eviction cases, the VLC has access to a network of other legal aid organizations and can help Veterans potentially find assistance with their cases.

Due to high demand, the VLC will expand its staff soon. After onboarding new staff, the team plans to conduct more “know your rights” trainings and presentations.

For more information, contact the VLC at the hours and numbers listed below. The VLC will respond to voicemails within 2 business days.
